Keepin' It Local Thursdays Special at The Social

With so many local farmers, butchers, and brewers on our regular menu, it was clear what our new Thursday special at The Social should be. We wanted to showcase some of these great area makers and give our customers an unbeatable special. What better way to celebrate what makes the Chattanooga community rock?

We call it Keepin’ It Local Thursdays, and starting at 5PM there are $2 "Big Boy" Barton Creek Farm sliders, $3 Chattanooga Whiskey pickle backs until 10PM, $10 pitchers of Moccasin Bend Brewing Company and Chattanooga Brewing Company beers, and live acoustic music by local musicians 8-11PM.

The sliders are big and juicy, served with a pickle on top and ketchup, mustard, and our house-made mayonnaise on the side. The Chattanooga Whiskey picklebacks are a lot of fun-- if you've never had a pickleback, you're in for a treat.

Picklebacks are two shots, one of Chattanooga Whiskey, the other of pickle juice. It sounds peculiar at first, but the rich taste of the whiskey is balanced perfectly by the salty tang of the pickle juice.

You can't get any fresher than the local beers, either, with kegs arriving regularly from St. Elmo and The Northshore, made by passionate Chattanooga brew masters.

We're excited to have an extra way to celebrate our neighbors, both the ones who create great food and music and all of you who come to enjoy it. The musical stylings of FUNction and Tiffany Taylor made for very special Thursdays so far, and we can't wait to share future acts with you each week.
